Early success for new White Moose artist
It is only her debut solo show, but three of artist Hayley Piper’s works were already sold by the end of the first week of her exhibition at White Moose. Working in multiple media, including painting, film and 3-D installation, Devon based artist Hayley Piper explores themes around the positioning of the human in time and space, how we are connected to spaces and moments we inhabit and the markings we leave behind. Soil Culture residency artist selected
White Moose is delighted to announce Saatchi/Channel 4 New Sensations artist Jonny Briggs has been awarded its residency for Soil Culture, a major three year long arts & environment project coordinated by CCANW which contributes to the 2015 UN International Year of Soils. Using photography and mixed media, Jonny Briggs’ practice is in essence a search for lost parts of childhood, his work offering an often uncomfortable commentary on close human relationships and the environment. For his Soil Culture residency he will work with local communities in Barnstaple during summer 2014, exploring soil as a transition between life and death. Read more here

Just confirmed..
One of the most exciting new British artists Marcus Lanyon, will exhibit at White Moose in 2015. Marcus, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, works in a variety of media including drawing, painting, print making, sculpture and installation. His exhibition will be titled The Age of Panic and will take place at White Moose from Fri 5th June to Fri 31st July 2015. One of his most striking pieces Enjoy It While It Lasts was recently acquired by the Zabludowicz Collection.

New: Local Art Social
White Moose is extending its opening hours to 8pm every last Thursday of the month for a free Local Art Social with drinks, nibbles and a chance to see the latest exhibition after work with some colleagues or friends in the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the gallery. White Moose is also inviting local businesses to come forward, who could enhance the experience of gallery visitors during the event by introducing free tasters of services or products on the night… Read more here
